A time series model of CDS sequences in complete genome
A time series model of CDS sequences in complete genome is proposed.
A map of DNA sequence to integer sequence is given. The correlation
dimensions and Hurst exponents of CDS sequences in complete genome of bacteria
are calculated. Using the average of correlation dimensions, some interesting
results are obtained.Comment: 11 pages with 4 figures and one table, Chaos, Solitons and Fractals

One way to Characterize the compact structures of lattice protein model
On the study of protein folding, our understanding about the protein
structures is limited. In this paper we find one way to characterize the
compact structures of lattice protein model. A quantity called Partnum is given
to each compact structure. The Partnum is compared with the concept
Designability of protein structures emerged recently. It is shown that the
highly designable structures have, on average, an atypical number of local
degree of freedom. The statistical property of Partnum and its dependence on
sequence length is also studied.Comment: 10 pages, 5 figure
The Dark Side of Manager Narcissism: Evidence on Target Level and Employee Dysfunctional Behavior
We examine whether managersâ narcissism affects their decisions about performance targets and the dysfunctional behaviors of their subordinates. Dysfunctional behaviors occur when employees act to increase their performance and payoffs at the expense of their firmâs interests. Although dysfunctional behaviors are common and costly to firms, there is limited evidence of why these behaviors occur. Using a field-based dataset, we find that manager narcissism has both direct and indirect associations with employee dysfunctional behavior. In particular, managers with a higher degree of narcissism tend to set higher performance targets for their subordinates, which in turn lead to more employee behaviors that are dysfunctional. Besides this indirect association, we find manager narcissism also has a direct positive association with employee dysfunctional behavior. Our findings contribute to the management accounting literature and business practices by documenting that narcissism, a personality trait that is ubiquitous among managers, plays an important role in affecting managersâ control choices and the behaviors of lower-level employees
A Multi-factor Customer Classification Evaluation Model
Pervasive application of data mining technology is very important in analytical CRM software development when the distributed data warehouse is constructed. We propose a multi-factor customer classification evaluation model CLV/CL/CC which comprehensively considers customer lifetime value, customer loyalty and customer credit. It classifies clients with synthetic data mining algorithms. In this paper, we present an extended Bayes model which substitutes the primary attribute group with a new attribute group to improve the classification quality of naive Bayes
